Loss of Family Member

As some of you maybe aware, my father-in-law recently passed away. I have not been able to update my blog because of family events. When contemplating the event, I would have to attribute it to the very title of my blog itself "Entering the New Age." In some ways we all are entering a new age with each consecutive day that comes. I would have to say that this is what makes life so interesting. The more I ponder the title of this blog, the more pervasive I see it becoming.

First Posting with Computer Image

I did it! Here it is. This image did not get on here to easily. Initially I had to update my photo program on my computer. One thing for sure, it never is a simple process when encountering new procedures on the computer. I recently found out that my class this evening was canceled. I must admit, it worked out again to the betterment of my schedule. The image is of me in front of a church door in Sedona, AZ

Sick at Home

Here I am lying prone on the family room floor attempting to catch up with my class assignment. I will have to miss tonight's class as I suffer from the Bubonic Plague or what seems to be a mutant virus of the sort. I managed to burn all my pictures on a CD and hope to do something with it this week. I will have a lot of time tomorrow as I will again stay home from work and allow my immune system to remain on the offensive. I did manage to check out the 100 Google hints and hope to put into play some in the future. In the mean time, I will attempt to transfer a picture of mine onto my blog.

Fiddl'in Around

Well, I am now back on my blog and feel as though I need to add something. I am looking for what is due for tomorrow's class. I was in luck to find not too much. Anyway, the week is flying by and it is only Monday. Man, I'm not sure what that really means. The weekend was spent working both at home as well as at work if that makes any sense. The H1N1 thing is really captivating peoples' attention. I have felt the sting first hand. My son has had something this past week and our daycare provider was unavailable because of some bug. I am screwing around with the iGoogle and find it wonderful. I hope to explore some more if time permits.

Second Week (Setting up a Google Alert and iGoogle page)

Well, here I am again on Entering the New Age. I may start to call it ENA to save my wrist from encountering CTS (Carpal Tunnel Syndrome). Anyway, I have recently returned from an awesome 5 day adventure out state and feel somewhat refreshed. However, it does not take long to return to the "Rock-N-Roll" of life. I really don't think there is much of a choice about this at this time. But to confess, I really don't mind it and actually find myself enjoying it. Well, I have yet to visit other bloggers in my class and hope to figure it out soon. The set up of the Google Alert and iGoogle page was rather simple. I could only hope that most thing to be encountered with this new age will be as simple. My Google Alert should assist me in some local happening in pediatrics. I hope to refine it or even add additional alerts when my brain is ready to take on additional information.

First week second blog entry

I am again on the New Age Blog to follow up to determine if my previous blog entry had gone through. As I went back to check, I did not find it. I had saved the entry by clicking on save. However, when I went back to check the blog, I was unable to find the entry. I figured that might happen. Nevertheless....oh well. I will briefly state what I had mentioned in my earlier blog. I really enjoyed the class and thought Zoma did a great job. I thank her again for her patients with me. My avatar choice was to give the impression of minimalism. This is something I attempt to pursue every day in my life. However, in this New Age, it takes practice and effort. Anyway, I am feeling the fatigue of a busy weekend come over me at this moment and need to rest my head soon. I would like to place more on this blog but am too tired. Good Night.

First Week of Class

Well here I am now entering my first posting on my blog. This whole action does support my blog title. Anyway, I must admit, I would like to say that all of this is easy. However, I must admit it is not. It seems I always have to go around the long way before I figure it all out. I often wonder if this is true of others I know. Anyway, my experience setting up my blog was as I thought it would be. My dexterity always makes keying in passwords and user names a three to four time deal. This also goes for getting onto my blog this evening. However, I did manage to get on and am now in the New Age. I would first like to say that I thank Zoma for her time and incredible patients when working with someone as myself. She made an otherwise time consuming and not sure if I wanted to experience easier to understand. As for choosing my "avatar" ( a new word in my limited vocabulary) I can't say that it is either my alter ego or my real representation. The choices to choose were limited. I chose the towel to represent minimalism. In addition, I chose nothing to place around me to add to this idea. I am hoping to eventually update it with real pictures and experiences living in this new age. I am looking forward to learnign more in this new age so I can hopefully increase my survival chances. As for the remainder of the class assignment, I may have to return later as I can not remember the other information to include. I wonder if my lack of memorey will play to my detroment in what I can learn in this class. I hope to be blogging soon to those that have joined in this new adventure.
